Client
Melanoma Institute Australia: a leading research and treatment organisation dedicated to reducing the impact of melanoma through world-class research, clinical care, and education.
Brief
Melanoma Institute Australia approached us to create a video that would sit at the heart of a broader patient information campaign—one designed to answer the questions that weigh most heavily on someone newly diagnosed with early stage melanoma. The video needed to work alongside a suite of printable and downloadable information booklets and guides, giving patients a clear, trustworthy starting point at what may be one of the most overwhelming moments of their care journey.
Audience
Patients recently diagnosed with melanoma who are looking for clear, credible answers at a time when reliable information matters more than ever.
Solution
We worked closely with Melanoma Institute Australia to shape a video built around real questions newly diagnosed patients commonly ask. To answer them, we shot Professor Georgina Long (Medical Oncologist)—awarded joint Australian of the Year in 2024—alongside her esteemed colleague, Dr Tom Pennington (Surgical Oncologist), who present detailed, considered answers directly to camera. Our focus throughout was on creating a calm, clear viewing experience: one that could sit confidently alongside the campaign’s written materials while offering patients the reassurance of hearing directly from trusted medical experts.
Result
The final video, Melanoma: Your Questions Answered, remains freely available on Melanoma Institute Australia’s patient information page, alongside the accompanying booklets and guides. It continues to give newly diagnosed patients a trusted, accessible resource at exactly the moment they need it most.
